Alan Yang is disrupting the writer’s room. He’s an Asian-American writing for TV, movies and videos in a mostly white, Jewish and African-American industry.  On this episode of the Disruptor Series, Alan sits down with D-Series Co-Founder Doug Melville from a live session at TBWAChiatDay. Alan talks about how coming from a different perspective helped him fuel the fresh comedy for shows like “Parks and Recreation,” for which he received his first Emmy nomination. And the Netflix Emmy-award-winning series Master of None, which he co-created with Aziz Ansari. Alan also shares his foodie obsession and a little project he did with Jay Z.
